Still testing lighting... I'm slowly starting to understand it. Lyra looks a bit weird to me. But oh well XD There's a point where you try to change a picture and there is just nothing that seems to improve it XD

*In Royal Canterlot Voice* FOOL!!!!! HOW DAREST THOU MAKE A LYRA PORTRAIT WITHOUT BON BON!!!! WE HOPE THOU LIKETH BANANAS BECAUSE THOUGH ART GOING TO THE MOOOOOOOOONNNNNNAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

In truth though, the picture looks realistic yet not grotesque, and is faithful enough to the original character without looking creepy. Good Job, keep up the good work!!!! (AND THOU HAST BETTER MAKE A BON BON PORTRAIT!!!!)

The facial expression is a little bit creepy, due to the square muzzle giving her the appearance of a... doll comes to mind. Combine that with the wide open eyes with the light reflection, it gives her a glassy eyed look. Yeah, creepy doll comes to mind. Not overly, mind you, I just get that vibe from this portrait. You'll get it figured.

now it may sound strange but exactly the points you mentioned made me luv this picture. It's... somewhat odd and yeah a little bit creepy but it's just the mixture of cute and creepy without being frightening that I like on this pic :) It looks like she stares into my soul... smiling... lol :meow:

I think her fur and the light effects on it add to the doll-like appearance. It reminds me on a puppet-surface processed with flocking, giving it a smooth silky texture with this special diffuse lighting
