Hinoraito's simple Photoshop brush set by hinoraito Hinoraito's simple Photoshop brush set by hinoraito
- Download
- for Photoshop
- Contains 3 brushes. That's it, that's all I ever needed.
- must have a graphic tablet for brushes to work efficiently
- Resize your brushes to suit your needs

To install:
In Photoshop, with the brush tool selected, right click on your canvas. A Tab will pop up. On that tab, click on the sideways arrow icon on the right side. In that menu, select "replace brushes...". Find the file on your computer and tada! You got the most simple brush set in the world :D

Have fun!

since popular deviants usually don't reply to us commoners, I can tell you what most of the big guys around here use.

the BEST you can get is the Wacom Intuos tablet, either medium or large.

unless you got the cash for a Wacom Cintique, which is pretty much a computer monitor, but its usually only used by Pixar and Disney people.

I put this on DA because I was asked about my brush set all the time. It's hard to just explain which one in the list I use especially to people who dont know much about photoshop. WIth this, they can just instal it and use it X3

Wait, you're allowing people to download what is essentially Photoshop's default brushes? Seriously?

Yes. Reason being i get countless questions about the brushes i use especially from beginners. So i'm sharing this so they dont have to look for them in the list of default brushes. Simple as that.

you're almost right. but basic photoshop brushes don't have such settings, right? it's not about shape or texture, it's just about one little part of settings... so, yeah, maybe it would be more useful to write "how to" make such brushes, from any existing brush :)

but... well... yeah, yeah, you're right. just... okay? this is for beginners. the ones that open photoshop first time / see brushes first time :)

Hey, these are the ones I use! For sketches though, I use one of the small ones that looks like a real pencil, except with flow on and softness all the way down at 1%.

A fellow basic-brush user? :D
I use A. and C. most, but I should get into B. for more lighting dynamics. I'm also an abuser of the bracket keys. I should also try out complex brushes more, but is it just me, or is the simplicity of basic-brush use just "nicer"? I feel as though it just gives more control.

i think you really should use B more, the shading looks better with it...
anyway, i agree with you, i also prefer default brushes with these settings :) i have never really enjoyed special texture brushes etc... they're more like stamps, lol

There are basic settings my fiance fiddled with to get awesome pencil texture -looks just like a real sketch- using nothing but the normal rounds, but I guess the complicated textures are like complicated forms of sponging-in texture. It is like stamping, isn't it? Huh.

yup, i see your point, have a "pencil" brush is fine, i sure meant stuff like... leaves texture to make trees etc., or "smog" brushes etc.

Oh those... I am so sick of seeing leaf brushes in people's paintings. At this point, it's just as bad as the grass tool to me. I just see it everywhere. But I don't stick my nose up at its use when you can't tell because it's just so altered by extra paint or is just to add a cute effect. But I agree.
